Description and Operation

Description

The fuel pressure control valve is installed on the high-pressure fuel pump and regulates the fuel supply to the injectors according to the control signal from the ECM, calculated based on various engine conditions.

Repair Procedures

Inspection

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Disconnect the connector of the fuel pressure regulator valve.
  3. Measure the resistance between terminals 1 and 2 of the fuel pressure control valve.
  4. Check that the resistance is within specification.
