Cargo Tie-Downs

[A] Fixed Tie-Down
[B] D-Ring
You can secure cargo to the vehicle using hooks, ropes, and heavy-duty straps from various locations on the truck bed.
- The fixed tie-down also acts as a spike for looping a rope.
- The D-ring can rotate around the bolt and bracket.
- The D-ring and fixed tie-down can be hooked through their openings.
Information
- Distribute cargo evenly on the truck bed. Place the heaviest items on the bottom and as far forward as possible over the rear axle. Tie down and secure all items that could be thrown from the vehicle during a crash or sudden stop.
- If you stack items above the bed sides, tailgate, or rear window, secure them with a net or cover. This will reduce the risk of items being thrown from the truck bed during a crash or sudden stop.
PLEDGE
• Securely load cargo before driving.
WARNING
• Do not exceed 440 lbs. (200 kgf) load on the tie-downs.
WARNING
- Allowing passengers to ride in the truck bed or on the tailgate may result in death or serious injury in a crash. Make sure all passengers ride in a seat and wear their seat belts properly.
- Never allow passengers to ride in the cargo area of the pickup truck, in the trunk, or on the bed rails. This may cause very serious injury or death. No one should ride in any position in your vehicle that is not equipped with a seat and seat belts.
- Exceeding the maximum load capacity or improper loading of cargo onto the vehicle may cause a malfunction that could result in serious injury or death.
- Load cargo carefully before driving.
