Under-Bed Storage

The under-bed storage compartment is water-resistant and can be locked and unlocked using the remote key or smart key.

Opening the Under-Bed Storage

The under-bed storage compartment can be unlocked and opened by the following methods:

Vehicles equipped with a remote key:

• Unlock all doors using the main unlock button on the vehicle or by pressing the unlock button on the remote key.

Vehicles equipped with a smart key:

• Unlock all doors using the main unlock button on the vehicle or by pressing the unlock button on the smart key.
• With the smart key in your possession, open the tailgate and then simply press the storage release button on the floor.

Closing the Under-Bed Storage

To close the under-bed storage cover, pull the cover down.

Note that if the under-bed storage cover is not fully closed, the bed LED lights will remain on and a warning message may appear on the cluster LCD.

Information

It is normal for the under-floor storage compartment to have a smell when the vehicle is new. This smell is normal, safe, and will decrease over time, like any new vehicle smell.

PLEDGE

• The under-bed storage must be dried before closing the cover to prevent mold growth.
• Make sure the water drain channel and sealing surface are free of debris.
• Do not store valuables in the under-bed storage.
• Do not apply water directly to the under-bed storage latch. This may cause damage to the latch.

WARNING

• Do not enter the under-bed storage.
• If someone becomes trapped inside the storage compartment, pull the emergency release lever (1).

How to Open the Under-Bed Storage Cover Manually

If a power failure prevents the under-bed storage cover from opening, the latch can be mechanically released using the following steps:

1. Remove the tailgate assembly from its hinges.

2. Insert a hooked or ribbed tool between the cover and the bottom, where the release cable is located.

3. Apply even downward force to release the latch.
