WARNING
- Main hazards associated with battery operation
When working with batteries, carefully read the following instructions.
Do not bring lit cigarettes near the battery. Keep open flames and sparks away from it.
Battery cells constantly contain flammable gas, hydrogen, which can explode if ignited.
Keep batteries out of the reach of children, as batteries contain SULFURIC ACID. Do not allow the acid in the battery to contact skin, eyes, clothing, or painted surfaces.
If electrolyte gets into your eyes, flush them with clean water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention as soon as possible.
If electrolyte gets on your skin, thoroughly rinse the affected area. If you feel pain or burning, seek medical attention as soon as possible.
Wear protective goggles when charging the battery or working near it. When working in enclosed areas, ensure adequate ventilation.
Improper disposal of a used battery may harm the environment and human health.
Dispose of the battery in accordance with government regulations. Please return the battery to an authorized HYUNDAI dealer for recycling.
• When lifting a battery with a plastic case, excessive pressure on the case may cause acid leakage and resulting injury. Lift the battery using a carrying strap or by holding two opposite corners with both hands.
• Do not attempt to charge the battery while the vehicle electrical system cables are connected to it.
• The electronic ignition system uses high voltage. Do not touch its components while the engine is running or the ignition is on.
Failure to observe the safety precautions listed above may result in serious injury or death.
Do not use unauthorized devices.
