If you press any button on the smart key during the detection and warning stage, the smart liftgate is deactivated.

  • If you press the door unlock button, the smart liftgate is temporarily deactivated. If you do not open any door within 30 seconds, the smart liftgate is reactivated.
  • If you press and hold the liftgate open button for more than 1 second, the liftgate opens.
  • The smart liftgate remains activated if you press the door lock button or the liftgate open/close button while the smart liftgate is not in the Detect and Alert stage.

Information

The smart liftgate may not operate properly if one of the following conditions occurs:

- The smart key is near a radio transmitter, such as a radio station or airport, which may interfere with normal operation of the transmitter.
- The smart key is near a two-way radio or mobile phone.
- A smart key of another vehicle is operating near your vehicle.

The smart liftgate detection zone may change when:

- The vehicle is parked on a slope or incline.
- One side of the vehicle is raised or lowered relative to the opposite side.
