NOTE:

Before off-road driving, the side steps must be removed to prevent damage, if equipped.

  1. Remove both nuts and bolts from the underside of the vehicle for each bracket.
    Jeep Wrangler. Side Step Removal — If Equipped

    Lower nuts

  2. Remove the side step assembly.
