Warning Message

The Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) system is turned off.

Radar Blocked

• This warning message may appear when:

- One or both of the sensors on the rear bumper are blocked by mud, snow, or a foreign object.
- A trailer or carrier is installed.
- Driving in rural areas where the sensor does not detect other vehicles for a long period of time.
- Bad weather conditions such as heavy snow or rain.

If any of these conditions occur, the blind-spot safety button light and the system will turn off automatically.

When the BCW disabled warning message is displayed in the instrument cluster, check that the rear bumper is clean of mud and snow in the areas where the sensor is located. Remove any mud, snow, or foreign objects that may interfere with the radar sensors.

After the mud or debris is removed, the BCA will operate normally after restarting the engine.

If the BCW/BCA still does not operate normally, have your vehicle checked by an authorized Kia dealer.

✽ NOTICE

Turn off the BCW/BCA and RCCA (if equipped) when a trailer or vehicle is installed.

- Press the Blind-Spot Safety button (the indicator on the button turns off)
- Deactivate RCCA by deselecting it
- Deactivate RCCA by selecting "Settings > Vehicle > Driver Assistance > Parking Safety > Rear Cross-Traffic Safety" on the infotainment system screen.

Check the Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) system

If there is a problem with BCW, a warning message will appear and the indicator on the switch will turn off. The system will turn off automatically. BCA will also not operate if BCW is turned off due to a malfunction. We recommend that you have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.

Check the Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist (BCA) system

If there is a problem with BCA, a warning message will appear. The system will turn off automatically.

BCW will continue to operate even if BCA is turned off due to a malfunction. We recommend that you have the vehicle inspected by an authorized Kia dealer.
