Inspection
Measure the resistance of the NTC and the heating pad.
NTC resistance (black / black): 10.0 kΩ ± 5 % [at 25 °C]
Heating element resistance (red, black/brown, black): 1.7 Ω ± 10 %
Measure the temperature.
The steering wheel surface temperature should rise from -20 °C (-4 °F) to 20 °C within 6 minutes.
The steering wheel surface temperature should be maintained within 38 ± 4 °C (100.4 ± 39.2 °F) after 25 minutes.
