Closing the Tailgate

To close the liftgate, lower it and push firmly on the liftgate. Make sure the liftgate is securely latched.

WARNING

Make sure your hands, feet, and other parts of your body are clear of the path before closing the tailgate.

WARNING - Exhaust Gas

If you drive with the liftgate open, you may breathe dangerous exhaust gases into the vehicle, which can cause serious injury or death to vehicle occupants. If you must drive with the liftgate open, keep the vents and all windows open to allow additional outside air into the vehicle.

WARNING - Rear Cargo Area

Passengers should never ride in the cargo area where no restraints are available. To avoid injury in an accident or sudden stop, passengers must always be properly secured.
