Outside Rear View Mirror

Always adjust the mirror angles before driving.

Your vehicle is equipped with both left and right outside rearview mirrors. The mirrors can be adjusted remotely using the remote mirror switch. The mirror heads can be folded back to prevent damage during an automatic car wash or when driving through a narrow street.

CAUTION

Do not scrape ice off the mirror; this may damage the glass surface. If ice prevents mirror movement, do not force the mirror to adjust. To remove ice, use de-icing spray, a sponge, or a soft cloth with very warm water.

CAUTION

If the mirror is blocked by ice, do not adjust the mirror by force. Use an approved de-icing spray (not radiator antifreeze) to release the frozen mechanism, or move the vehicle to a warm place and allow the ice to melt.

WARNING

Do not adjust or fold the outside rearview mirrors while the vehicle is moving. Doing so may result in loss of control and an accident, which may cause death, serious injury, or property damage.

  • The mirrors stop moving when they reach the maximum adjustment angle, but the motor continues to run as long as the switch is pressed. Do not hold the switch longer than necessary, or the motor may be damaged.
