If there is a problem with the system, a message will appear. If the problem does not go away, the LKA malfunction indicator will illuminate.

LKA System Malfunction Indicator

The LKA malfunction indicator (yellow) will illuminate with a warning chime if the LKA system is not operating properly. In this case, have the system checked by an authorized Kia dealer.

If a problem occurs with the system, do one of the following:

  • Turn the system off after the engine is switched off, then turn it on again.
  • Check that the ignition switch is in the ON position.
  • Check whether the system is affected by weather (e.g., fog, heavy rain, etc.).
  • Check that there are no foreign objects on the camera lens.

If the problem is not resolved, contact an authorized Kia dealer to have the system inspected.
