Rear cross-traffic collision warning system

When reversing out of a parking space, the sensor detects vehicles approaching from the left or right and warns you.

Betriebsbedingungen

• Go to "User Settings" mode, select "Driver Assistance", "Rear Collision Warning", and then select "Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning" on the LCD display. The system is activated and remains activated.
• Select "Rear Cross-Traffic Collision Warning" again to turn the system off.
• When the vehicle is turned off and back on, the rear cross-traffic warning system returns to the state it was in before the vehicle was turned off. Turn off the rear cross-traffic warning system when it is not needed.
• The system is active when vehicle speed is up to 10 km/h and the shift lever is in reverse (R).
• The RCCW rear cross-traffic collision warning system has a detection range of approximately 0.5 m to 20 m in the lateral direction. If the speed of an approaching vehicle within the detection range is between 4 km/h and 36 km/h, a warning is activated. However, the detection range of the system depends on various conditions. Always pay attention to your surroundings.

Warning Type

❈ If the bumper on one side is blocked by a barrier or vehicles, the detection capability of the system may be impaired.

WARNING

• The warning lamp on the outside mirror illuminates whenever a vehicle is detected behind the system. To avoid accidents, do not focus only on the warning lamp and do not forget to watch the area around your vehicle.
• Drive carefully even if the vehicle is equipped with a Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) system. Do not rely only on the system; check for yourself before changing lanes. The system may not warn the driver in certain situations, so always check your surroundings while driving.

WARNING

• The system may not function properly if the bumper has been replaced or repair work has been performed near the sensor.
• Der Erkennungsbereich ändert sich entsprechend der Straßenbreite. Bei einer engen Straße kann das System andere Fahrzeuge in der nächsten Fahrspur erkennen.
• Bei einer sehr breiten Straßehingen erkennt das System möglicherweise Keine anderen Fahrzeuge.

Funktioniert nicht, wenn

Der Außenspiegel warnt den Fahrer möglicherweise nicht, wenn:

- The outside mirror housing is damaged or heavily contaminated.
- The window is dirty.
- The windows are tinted.
