- Never shift into neutral and coast downhill. This is extremely dangerous. Always leave a gear engaged.
- Do not apply the brakes continuously. This may cause overheating and malfunction. Instead, reduce speed and downshift to a lower gear when driving downhill for a long distance. In this way, engine braking is used.
- Reduce speed before shifting into a lower gear. This helps avoid excessively high engine speeds, which can cause damage.
- Reduce speed in crosswinds. This will help you keep better control of your vehicle.
- Make sure the vehicle has come to a complete stop before attempting to shift into reverse (R). Otherwise, the transaxle may be damaged.
- Drive with particular care on slippery surfaces. Be especially careful when braking, accelerating, or shifting. On slippery surfaces, a sudden change in vehicle speed may cause the drive wheels to lose traction and the vehicle to go out of control.
WARNING
- Always wear your seat belt! In a collision, an unbelted passenger is much more likely to suffer serious or fatal injuries than a properly belted passenger.
- Vermeiden Sie hohe Geschwindigkeiten bei Kurvenfahrten oder Abbiegen.
- Avoid sudden steering maneuvers, such as rapid lane changes or quick, sharp turns.
- The risk of rollover is significantly higher if you lose control of your vehicle at high speeds.
- Loss of control often occurs when two or more wheels leave the roadway and the driver oversteers to return to the road.
- If your vehicle leaves the roadway, avoid oversteering. Instead, slow down before steering back onto the road.
- Beachten Sie immer die geltenden Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzungen.
