Repair Procedures

Removal

  1. Wählhebel auf 4. Gang stellen.

  2. Luftfiltereinheit ausbauen.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical chapter — "Air Cleaner")

  3. Batterie und Batteriehalter aus dem Fahrzeug ausbauen.

    (See Chapter EE - "Battery")

  4. Schaltseilzug abnehmen.

    1. Remove the lock pins (A), then disconnect the control cable from the control shaft.

    2. Remove the control cable (B) from the bracket (C).

  5. Bodenkonsole ausbauen.

    (Siehe Karosserie - "Bodenkonsoleneinheit")

  6. Remove the lock pin (A), then disconnect the select cable from the shift lever pin.

  7. Remove the shift cable (A).

  8. Seilzugfassung (A) vom Wählhebel entfernen.

  9. Loosen the nuts (B), then remove the shift cable holder (A). Pull the shift cable toward the vehicle interior.

Installation

  1. Schaltzughalter (A) durch Festziehen der Muttern (B) anbringen.

    Anzugsdrehmoment: 11,8 ~ 14.8 N·m

  2. Install the cable brackets (A).

  3. Install the shift cable (A).

  4. Install the gear select cable onto the lever pin, then engage the lock pin (A).

  5. Check that the shift lever and control shaft are in the "4th gear" position, then insert the 4th gear locking pin (A).

  6. Install the control cable.

    1. First pull the holder (A) in the direction of "P", then pull the lock (B) in the direction of "F".

    2. Install the control cable (B), then insert the lock pins (A).

    3. Attach the control cable to the control shaft, then press in the lock (C).

    4. Den 4. Befestigungsstift (A) entfernen.

  7. Check the shift lever operation for proper function in each gear (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, Reverse).

  8. Batterie und Batterieträger einbauen.

  9. Install the air cleaner filter.

    (Refer to Engine Mechanical chapter — "Air Cleaner")

  10. Bodenkonsole einbauen.

    (Siehe Kapitel Karosserie - "Bodenkonsole")
