Preventive Maintenance Schedule

Follow the standard maintenance schedule if the vehicle is not normally operated under the conditions listed below. If at least one of the conditions listed below applies, the special maintenance schedule for severe operating conditions applies.

• Repeated short-distance driving in temperatures below 8 °C (16 °F) or below freezing

• Fahren auf staubigen, schlammigen, unebenen und unbefestigten, mit Kies oder Salz beeckten Straßen
• Driving in areas where salt or other corrosive materials are used, or in very low temperatures
• Driving under dusty conditions
• Driving in an area with heavy traffic
• Repeated driving uphill, downhill, or on mountain roads
• Towing a trailer, caravan, or using a roof rack
• Use as a police vehicle, taxi, or other commercial application, or when towing another vehicle
• Fahrgeschwindigkeiten über 170 km/h
• Frequent driving in stop-and-go traffic

If your vehicle is used under the conditions described above, inspections should be performed more frequently, operating fluids should be changed more often, and certain components should be replaced more frequently than indicated in the standard maintenance schedule. Refer to the maintenance intervals specified in the table.
