The fuel filler door must be opened from inside the passenger compartment by pulling up the lever located on the driver's seat.

NOTE If the fuel filler door cannot be opened because of ice formed around it, tap or press the door lightly to break the ice and release it. Do not pry the door open. If necessary, spray an approved de-icer (do not use radiator antifreeze) around the door, or move the vehicle to a warm place and allow the ice to melt.

  1. Switch off the engine.
  2. To open the fuel filler door, pull the release lever upward.
  3. Fully open the fuel filler door (1) by pulling it outward.
  4. To remove the fuel filler cap (2), turn it counterclockwise.
  5. Refuel the vehicle.
