The headlamps (and/or tail lamps) will remain on for approximately 5 minutes after the ignition key is removed when the engine is off. However, if the driver's door is opened and closed, the headlamps turn off after 15 seconds.

The headlamps can be turned off by pressing the lock button on the transmitter (or smart key) twice, or by turning the headlamp switch to the OFF or AUTO light position.

CAUTION

If the driver exits the vehicle through a door other than the driver's door, the battery saver function does not work and the headlamp follow-me function is not automatically turned off. As a result, the battery may be discharged. In this case, be sure to turn off the lamps before exiting the vehicle.
