Cruise control

- Cruise indicator
- Cruise set indicator
The cruise control system allows you to program the vehicle to maintain a constant speed without pressing the accelerator pedal.
This system is designed to operate at approximately 30 km/h.
WARNING
- If left on (CRUISE indicator on the instrument cluster illuminated), the cruise control may activate accidentally.
NOTE
- During normal cruise control operation, when the SET switch is activated or reactivated after the brakes have been applied, cruise control engages after approximately 3 seconds. This delay is normal.
- To activate cruise control, press the brake pedal at least once after turning the ignition switch to ON or starting the engine.
Cruise control switch

: Turns the cruise control system on or off. (ON CANCEL OFF)
: Switches between cruise control mode and speed limiter mode.
RES+: Resumes or increases the cruise control set speed.
SET-: Sets or decreases the cruise control set speed.

To set the cruise control speed:
- Press the button
on the steering wheel to turn the system on.
will illuminate.NOTE - Manual transmission On vehicles with a manual transmission, the brake pedal must be pressed at least once to enable cruise control after starting the engine.

3. Push the lever down (to SET-) and release it when the desired speed is reached. The SET indicator on the instrument cluster will come on.
At the same time, release the accelerator. The set speed will be maintained automatically.
On hilly roads, the vehicle may slow down or speed up slightly when going downhill.

To increase the set speed: Use one of the following methods:
- Pull the lever up (to RES+) and hold it there. The vehicle will accelerate. Release the lever when the desired speed is reached.
- Pull the lever up (to RES+) and release it immediately. The set speed increases by 2 km/h each time the lever is pulled up (to RES+) in this way.

To decrease the set speed: Use one of the following methods:
- Push the lever down (to SET-) and hold it there. The vehicle will decelerate gradually. Release the lever when the desired speed is reached.
- Push the lever down (to SET-) and release it immediately. The set speed decreases by 2 km/h each time the lever is pushed down (to SET-) in this way.
To accelerate temporarily with cruise control active: If you want to accelerate temporarily while cruise control is active, press the accelerator pedal. This does not cancel or change the set speed.
To return to the set speed, release the accelerator pedal.

To cancel cruise control, use one of the following methods:
- Press the brake pedal.
- Press the clutch pedal, if the vehicle has a manual transmission.
- Shift to N (Neutral), if the vehicle has an automatic transmission.
- Press the button
located on the steering wheel. - Press the button
. Both the indicator
and the SET indicator will go off. - Reduce the vehicle speed to about 20 km/h below the stored speed.
- Reduce the vehicle speed below 25 km/h.
Each of the above actions will cancel cruise control (the SET indicator on the instrument cluster will go off), but only pressing the
CANCEL button will turn the system off. To resume cruise control, push the lever located on the steering wheel up (RES+). The previously set speed will be restored, unless the system was turned off using the button
.

To resume cruise control at speeds above 30 km/h: Move the lever up (RES+). If the vehicle speed exceeds 30 km/h, the vehicle will return to the preset speed.

To turn off cruise control, use one of the following methods:
- Press the button
. (The indicator light
will go off.). - Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
Either of these actions turns off cruise control. To turn cruise control back on, repeat the steps under "To set the cruise control speed" on the previous page.
