Seat heaters are provided to supply warmth to the front seats when the weather is cold. If the ignition switch is in the ON position, pressing both switches turns on the heater for the driver's or front passenger's seat.

When temperatures are higher, or when seat heating is not needed, set the switch to the OFF position.

  • Each time the button is pressed, the seat heater temperature setting changes as follows:

  • Each time the ignition is switched on, the seat heaters default to the OFF position.

Automatic seat heater (if equipped, only with Automatic Climate Control and driver's seat)

When it is cold outside the vehicle or the temperature inside is low, the seat heater turns on automatically. The seat heater temperature control lever is set automatically, depending on the outside temperature or the temperature inside the vehicle.

If the temperature inside the vehicle is sufficient, the seat heater is set to "Low" ( ) or switched off automatically. If you do not want to use this function, you can cancel it as follows:

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
  2. Press and hold the defrost button
  3. While holding the defrost button, press the fresh air intake control button at least 5 times within 3 seconds.

The LCD display of the automatic climate control will flash 3 times.

This indicates that the automatic seat heater function has been cancelled.

NOTE If the seat heater switch is set to ON, the heating system inside the seat automatically switches off and on depending on the seat temperature.

CAUTION
  • When cleaning the seats, do not use organic solvents such as nitro thinner, benzene, alcohol, and gasoline.

These can cause extensive damage to the heater or seat surface.

  • To prevent the seat heater from overheating, do not place anything on the seats that would insulate against heat flow, such as blankets, cushions, or seat covers, while the heater is operating.
  • Do not place heavy or sharp objects on seats equipped with heaters. This may damage the heating elements.
WARNING - Burns from seat heaters Due to the possibility of overheating or burns when using seat heaters, occupants should exercise particular caution. A seat heater can cause burns even at low temperatures, especially when used for an extended period. The driver should take special care with the following groups of occupants:
  1. Infants, children, elderly or disabled persons, or persons just discharged from hospital
  2. Persons with sensitive skin susceptible to burns
  3. Persons who are fatigued
  4. Persons who have been poisoned
  5. Persons taking medication that causes drowsiness or sleep (sleeping pills, cold tablets, etc.)
