Inspection

  1. Check the circuit continuity and measure the resistance between terminals No. 3 and No. 6.

    Standard Value

    Driver / Assistant (cushion + back)

    Seat heater: 1.54 Ω ± 10%/23 °C

    Ventilated seat: 1.93 Ω ± 10%/23 °C

  2. Turn on the seat heater after connecting the connector, then check the thermostat by measuring the seat surface temperature.

    Standard Value

    1st: Cushion: 36 ± 2 °C, Back: 40 ± 2 °C

    2nd: Cushion: 39 ± 2 °C, Back: 45 ± 2 °C

    3rd: Cushion: 42 ± 2 °C, Back: 50 ± 2 °C

Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

  2. Remove the front seat assembly.

    (Refer to Body - "Front Seat Assembly")

  3. Disconnect the seat warmer unit connector (A).

  4. Remove the seat heater element (A) after loosening the mounting screws.

Installation

  1. Install the seat heater element and connect the connector.

  2. Install the front seat assembly.

  3. Connect the negative (-) battery terminal.
