FCA Warning Message and System Control

~1min read

FCA issues warning messages and alert signals depending on the collision risk levels of situations such as sudden braking of the vehicle ahead or the absence of a vehicle up to the following distance. It also controls the brakes according to the collision risk levels.

Kia Soul. FCA warning message and system control

A warning message appears on the LCD display with a warning chime. In addition, the engine control system intervenes in some vehicle systems to help decelerate the vehicle.

• The vehicle may decelerate slightly

- It will operate when the vehicle speed is greater than 10 km/h and less than or equal to 160 km/h with a vehicle detected ahead. (Depending on the condition of the vehicle ahead and the surrounding environment, the maximum operating speed may be reduced.)
- If you select "Warning Only", the FCA system is activated and only issues warning alerts according to the collision risk levels. You must control the brake directly because the FCA system does not control the brake.
