The Smart Cruise Control system may have limitations in detecting the distance to the vehicle ahead due to road and traffic conditions.

On Curves

Kia Soul. Limitations of the system
  • On curves, the Smart Cruise Control system may not detect a vehicle in your lane, and your vehicle may accelerate to the set speed. Also, your vehicle speed will decrease rapidly when a vehicle ahead is suddenly detected.
  • Select an appropriate set speed on curves and adjust your vehicle speed by pressing the accelerator or brake pedal according to the road ahead and traffic conditions.
Kia Soul. Limitations of the system
  • Your vehicle speed may be reduced due to a vehicle in the adjacent lane. Adjust your vehicle speed by pressing the brake pedal according to the road ahead and traffic conditions. Press the accelerator pedal and select an appropriate set speed. Make sure that road conditions allow safe operation of the Smart Cruise Control system.
