The tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) in the Lexus GS L10 provide safety and comfort at the highest level. This chapter explains how the system works, warning messages for pressure loss, and initialization after a tire change or tire service. The influence of correct tire pressure on handling, braking distance, and fuel consumption is especially emphasized. Tips on regular checks and on handling warning indicators make this chapter a practical everyday guide.

The headlights can be operated manually or automatically.

Daytime Running Light System

So that your vehicle is more easily seen by other road users during the day, the daytime running lights turn on automatically when the engine is started and the parking brake is released, and the headlight switch is in the “AUTO” position. (They are brighter than the front parking lights.) The daytime running lights are not suitable for use at night.

Headlight Brightness Control Sensor

If an object is placed in front of the sensor or something is attached to the windshield, the sensor may not function properly.

The sensor that detects the amount of ambient light will be affected in this case, and a malfunction of the automatic headlight control may result.
