Important Safety Notes
The reversing camera is only an aid. It cannot replace your attention to the immediate surroundings. You are always responsible for safe maneuvering and parking. Make sure that there are no people, animals or objects in the maneuvering area when reversing or parking. The reversing camera does not work or works only with limitations when
- the trunk lid or tailgate is open
- it is raining heavily, snowing or foggy
- it is night or you are in a very dark place with your vehicle
- the camera is exposed to very strong bright light
- the surroundings are illuminated by fluorescent or LED lighting (flickering may appear on the display)
- there is a rapid temperature change, e.g. when you drive from cold into a heated garage in winter
- the camera lens is dirty or covered. Observe the cleaning instructions
- the rear of your vehicle is damaged. In this case, have the position and adjustment of the camera checked at a qualified specialist workshop.
On vehicles with height-adjustable suspension, due to technical reasons, the guide lines may be inaccurate when the vehicle is not at standard height.
Info
The reversing camera is protected from raindrops and dust by a flap. When the reversing camera is switched on, this flap opens.
The flap closes again when- you have finished the maneuvering process
- you switch off the engine
- you open the trunk.
For technical reasons, the flap may remain open for a short time after the reversing camera is switched off.
