Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
This vehicle is equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system. It monitors the pressure of all tires except the spare tire. When the low tire pressure warning light is on and the "Low Tire Pressure - Add Air" message appears on the multi-function display, one or more of your tires is under-inflated.
If equipped, this system also displays the pressure of each tire (except the spare tire) on the display, using data transmitted by sensors mounted on each wheel. If a tire's pressure is low while the vehicle is being driven, the tire pressure monitoring system activates and alerts you to this condition using the low tire pressure warning light. This system only activates when vehicle speed exceeds 25 km/h. For more information, refer to the "Warning Lights and Audible Reminders" section in the "Instruments and Controls" chapter and the "Tire Pressure Monitoring System" section in the "Starting and Driving" chapter.
WARNING
- Radio waves may interfere with the operation of electrical medical devices. Persons who use a pacemaker should consult the manufacturer of the electrical medical device regarding possible interference before use.
- If the low tire pressure warning light comes on while driving, avoid sudden steering or braking, slow down, move to a safe location and stop the vehicle as soon as possible. Driving with an underinflated tire can cause permanent damage to the tire and increases the likelihood of tire failure. Your vehicle could suffer major damage and you could have an accident resulting in serious injury.
Check the pressure of all tires. Adjust the pressure to the COLD value specified on the tire and loading information label to turn OFF the low tire pressure warning light. If you have a flat tire, install the spare tire as soon as possible.
