Initialization

When the ignition switch is in the ON position, the NISSAN voice recognition system initializes within a few seconds. The system is then ready to accept voice commands. If thebutton
is pressed before initialization is complete, the system will announce: "The voice recognition system is not ready. Please wait."

Giving Voice Commands

   Press the button .

   The system announces: "Please say a category, such as phone, or a command, such as points of interest, followed by a brand name." The available commands are then announced by the system.

   Wait for the tone to sound and the face icon to change before saying a command. Valid commands are presented later in this section.

   Voice and display feedback is provided when the command is accepted.

• If the command is not recognized, the system announces: "Command not recognized." Clearly repeat the command.
• If you want to cancel the command or return to the previous command menu, press the. The system
  will announce “Voice recognition cancelled” or “Go back”, depending on the current menu level.
• Press the buttonto return
  to the previous menus shown on the screen.
• To adjust the volume of the voice feedback, use the volume control switches on the steering wheel or the volume knob on the control panel.
• The voice command screen can also be accessed using the control panel screen:

   Select the “Voice Recog” key.

Driving tips

Follow these guidelines to optimize the performance of the NISSAN voice recognition system:

• Keep the cabin as quiet as possible. Close the windows to eliminate ambient noise (road noise, vibration, etc.) that may prevent the system from correctly recognizing voice commands.
• Wait for the tone before speaking a command. Otherwise, the command will not be received correctly.
• Begin speaking a command within three and a half seconds after the tone.
• Speak naturally without pausing between words.
