Anti-lock braking system (ABS)
During hard braking, the ABS system prevents the wheels from locking, thus allowing control over the braking distance and steering of the vehicle.
Under these conditions, it is possible to perform manoeuvres to avoid an obstacle while braking. In addition, this system optimises braking distance, especially on surfaces with low grip (wet road, etc.).
Each time the system activates, the brake pedal vibrates. The ABS system never improves the "physical" parameters related to tyre grip on the road surface. Therefore, the rules of careful driving must always be observed (keeping a safe distance between vehicles, etc.).
In the event of emergency braking, it is recommended to press the brake pedal firmly and continuously. It is not necessary to pump the brake pedal. The ABS system will adjust the braking force applied in the braking system.Malfunctions

the warning lamps light up on the instrument panel and the message "BRAKING SYSTEM FAULT" appears: this indicates a fault in braking system components.
In both cases, contact an authorised brand dealer.
Partial braking system operation is ensured. However, this involves a risk in case of emergency braking and requires stopping the vehicle immediately, if road conditions allow. Contact an Authorised Dacia Partner.
