Access to the towing points

Unclip cover 1 or 3.

Screw the towing eye 2 in as far as it will go: first by hand until it stops, then tighten using the wheel brace.

The towing eye 2 and the wheel brace are located in the tool kit in the boot (refer to the "Tool kit" section in chapter 5).

! Engine off, the power steering and brake assistance are no longer operational.

Use only the front and rear towing points (never the transmission tubes). These towing points may only be used for towing; under no circumstances must they be used to lift the vehicle, directly or indirectly.

! Never leave tools loose in the vehicle: risk of projection during braking.
  • !
  • Use a rigid towing bar. If using a rope or cable (where permitted by law), the towed vehicle must be fitted with brakes.
  • Do not tow a vehicle whose roadworthiness is impaired.
  • Avoid jerky acceleration and braking, which could damage the vehicle.
  • In all cases, it is advisable not to exceed 25 km/h.

Towing a vehicle with automatic gearbox

Engine off: the gearbox is no longer lubricated, so it is preferable to transport the vehicle on a flatbed truck or tow it with the front wheels raised.

Exceptionally, you may tow it with all 4 wheels on the ground, forward direction only, with the selector lever in neutral N and over a maximum distance of 50 km.

! If the selector lever is locked in P while you press the brake pedal, the lever can be released manually. To do so, unclip the cover at the base of the lever. Press simultaneously on mark 1 and the release button located on the lever.
