Inspection

  1. Measure the pressure in the high-pressure line by measuring the output voltage between terminals "1" and "2".
  2. Check whether the voltage value is within the normal value or not.

    Vdd * (0.001758 * Pressure (psia) + 0.074126)

  3. If the measured voltage value does not meet the specification, replace the A/C pressure sensor.

Diagnosis Using GDS

  1. The heating, ventilation and air conditioning system can quickly diagnose faulty components using the Generic Diagnostic System (GDS). The diagnostic system (GDS) provides the following information: (1) Self-diagnosis: Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) check and display. (2) Current data: Checking the input/output status of the system. (3) Actuation test: Checking the operating status of the system. (4) Additional functions: Other controls such as system option and zero point adjustment.
  2. Select "Vehicle Model" and the system to be checked to inspect the vehicle with the tester.
  3. Select the "Current Data" menu to check the current input/output status. The input/output data for sensors corresponding to the A/C pressure sensor can be checked.

Replacement

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Recover the refrigerant using a recovery/recharging station.
  3. Disconnect the air conditioner pressure sensor connector (A).
  4. Remove the A/C pressure sensor (A).

    Tightening torque: 9.8 ~ 11.8 N·m

Be careful not to bend the liquid line and suction line.
  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
When installing, replace it with a new O-ring (A).
