If a problem occurs with the brake pedal while driving, emergency braking can be applied by pulling up and holding the EPB switch. Braking is possible only while you hold the EPB switch. However, the braking distance will be longer than normal.

WARNING

Do not apply the parking brake while the vehicle is moving, except in an emergency. This may damage the brake system and cause a serious accident.

NOTICE

When emergency braking is applied, the parking brake indicator light turns on to indicate that the system is operating.

NOTICE

If a noise or burning smell occurs after using emergency braking, have your vehicle checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible.
