If the EPB malfunction indicator remains on, comes on while driving, or does not come on when the Engine Start/Stop button is in the ON position, the EPB may be malfunctioning. Have the vehicle checked at an authorized HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possible.
The EPB warning light may illuminate together with the ESC warning light to indicate that ESC is not operating properly. This does not indicate a malfunction of the EPB.
NOTICE
- If the EPB malfunction indicator remains on, have the system checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
- If the parking brake indicator light does not come on or flashes even though the EPB switch has been pulled up, the EPB may not apply.
- If the parking brake indicator light flashes while the EPB malfunction indicator is on, press the EPB switch, then pull it up. Press the switch back to its original position again and pull it up. If the EPB malfunction indicator does not turn off, have the vehicle inspected by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
