Bulbs

~1min read

Contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer to replace most vehicle light bulbs. Replacing vehicle light bulbs is difficult because other parts of the vehicle must be removed before you can reach the bulb. This is especially true for removing the headlamp assembly to reach the bulb(s).

Removing/installing the headlamp assembly may cause damage to the vehicle.

Information

After intensive driving, rain or washing, the headlamp and tail lamp lenses may become frosted. This condition is caused by the difference between the internal lamp temperature and the outside temperature. It is similar to condensation on the windows inside your vehicle during rain and does not indicate a problem with your vehicle. If water has entered the lamp electrical circuit, have it checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

WARNING

  • Before replacing a bulb, depress the brake pedal, move the shift lever to P (Park), apply the parking brake, set the ignition switch to the LOCK/OFF position and take the key with you when leaving the vehicle to avoid sudden vehicle movement and possible electric shock.
  • Be aware that bulbs may be hot and can burn your fingers.

Desiccant

This vehicle contains a desiccant inside the headlamp to help reduce headlamp fogging caused by moisture.

The desiccant is a consumable item, and its performance may change depending on usage time or environment.

If moisture continues to fog the inside of the headlamp, we recommend that you contact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

The desiccant is a consumable item and cannot be guaranteed.
