Owner Maintenance
WARNING
Performing maintenance on your vehicle can be dangerous. If you do not have sufficient knowledge and experience or the proper tools and equipment to perform the work, have it done by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer. ALWAYS observe these precautions when performing maintenance work:
- Park the vehicle on level ground, shift the shift lever to P (Park) for vehicles with an automatic transmission, apply the parking brake, and turn the ignition key to the LOCK/OFF position.
- Block the wheels (front and rear) to prevent the vehicle from moving. Remove loose clothing or jewelry that may catch on moving parts.
- If you need to start the engine during maintenance, do so outdoors or in a well-ventilated area.
- Keep open flames, sparks, or smoking materials away from the battery and fuel-related parts.
The following lists show the vehicle inspections and checks that must be performed by the owner or an authorized HYUNDAI dealer at the intervals indicated to help ensure safe and reliable operation of your vehicle.
Any abnormal conditions should be reported to your dealer as soon as possible.
These vehicle inspections performed by the owner are generally not covered by the warranty, and you may be charged for the labor, parts, and lubricants used.
