Washer Fluid Level Inspection

Check the washer fluid reservoir level and add fluid if necessary. If washer fluid is not available, plain water can be used. However, in cold climates use washer solvent with antifreeze properties to prevent freezing.

WARNING

To avoid serious injury or death, observe the following precautions when using washer fluid:

  • Do not add engine coolant or antifreeze to the washer fluid reservoir. Engine coolant can severely reduce visibility if sprayed onto the windshield, and may cause loss of vehicle control, resulting in an accident or damage to body paint and trim.
  • Keep sparks or flames away from washer fluid and the washer fluid reservoir. Washer fluid may contain alcohol and is flammable.
  • Do not drink washer fluid and avoid contact with skin. Washer fluid is poisonous to humans and animals.
  • Store washer fluid out of the reach of children and animals.
