Brake pedal

With the engine running, measure the distance from the floor to the brake pedal depressed with a force of approx. 30 kg, as shown in the illustration. The minimum required distance is 60 mm. Since the brake system is self-adjusting, no adjustment is necessary. If the measured distance between the pedal and the floor is less than required, have the vehicle inspected by a SUZUKI service station.

NOTE: When measuring the distance between the pedal and the floor, do not include the thickness of floor mats or rubber mats.

WARNING If you encounter any of the following brake system problems, have the vehicle inspected immediately by an authorised SUZUKI service station.
  • Poor braking performance
  • Uneven braking (brakes do not act equally on all wheels)
  • Excessive pedal travel
  • Brake drag
  • Excessive noise
  • Pedal pulsation when pressed.
