REPLACEMENT
  1. REMOVE FRONT WHEELS
  2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
  3. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
  4. DRAIN AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID

  5. Remove the drain plug and gasket, and drain the ATF.

  6. Install a new gasket and the drain plug.

    Torque: 49 N·m
  7. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSY RH
  8. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSY LH SST 09520−01010, 09520−24010 (09520−32040)
  9. REMOVE TRANSAXLE HOUSING OIL SEAL

  10. Using SST, pull out the oil seal.

    SST 09308−00010

Remove transaxle housing oil seal
Remove transaxle housing oil seal 8. REMOVE DIFFERENTIAL SIDE BEARING RETAINER OIL SEAL

  1. Using SST, pull out the oil seal.

    SST 09308−00010

Remove differential side bearing retainer oil seal
Remove differential side bearing retainer oil seal 9. INSTALL TRANSAXLE HOUSING OIL SEAL

  1. Using SST and a hammer, drive in a new oil seal.

    SST 09316−60011 (09316−00011) Oil seal drive in depth: 0 0.5 mm (0 0.020 in.)

  2. Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease.

Install transaxle housing oil seal Install transaxle housing oil seal 10. INSTALL DIFFERENTIAL SIDE BEARING RETAINER OIL SEAL

  1. Using SST and a hammer, drive in a new oil seal.

    SST 09649−17010, 09950−70010 (09951−07150) Oil seal drive in depth: 0 0.5 mm (0 0.020 in.)

  2. Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease.

  1. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSY LH
  2. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSY RH
  3. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
  4. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER RH
  5. INSTALL FRONT WHEELS Torque: 103 N·m
  6. ADD AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID Fluid type: ATF type T−IV Capacity: 3.5 liters (3.7 US qts, 3.1 lmp. qts)
  7. INSPECT AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID
