PROCEDURE

Remove the connector from the throttle valve positioner.

Connect an ohmmeter to the idle switch terminals.

For a 4-pin connector, these are terminals 3 and 4 (both lower).

For a 6-pin connector, these are terminals 4 and 5 (viewed from top to bottom).

Note: after replacing the throttle valve positioner, the idle switch must be adjusted – this is a workshop task.
