For this check, the vehicle is connected to a special workshop tester, which can simultaneously print the obtained measurement results as proof of the inspection. If individual results do not meet the specified values, you will not receive a confirmation of the inspection either. However, before you decide to replace an expensive component after a failed CO check, repeat the check at another workshop. Despite the complex measuring equipment, some variation in results is possible during measurements. Sometimes a reasonably long drive is sufficient for the engine, catalytic converter and lambda sensor to reach full operating temperature.
