Parking Brake Cable Removal and Installation

REMOVAL

1. Remove the brake shoes.
2. Remove the shoe lock. To do this, remove pin (1).
3. Disconnect the cable bracket by removing bolts (2).

4. Disconnect the cable and pull it out of the protective sleeve.

INSTALLATION

1. Route the cable to the brake lever and the rear wheel.

* When inserting the cable into the protective sleeve, make sure the sleeve seats against the support.

2. Hook the cable into the plastic clip.
3. Install the support onto the cable and secure it to the brake backing plate with two bolts (2).

4. Install all parts of the brake, see the illustrations in the Parking Brake Shoe Removal and Installation section.
5. Install the brake lever.
6. Adjust the brake.
