Windshield washer fluid

Before driving, check that the windshield washer fluid reservoir is filled to the required level with the appropriate solution.

In cold weather, do not fill the windshield washer fluid reservoir more than three quarters full.

At low temperatures, washer fluid may freeze and expand.

If the reservoir is overfilled, there is no room for expansion, which may cause the reservoir to crack or deform.

To add windshield washer fluid:

• Use only ready-to-use windshield washer fluid for this purpose.
• Do not use tap water. Washer system failure caused by clogged nozzles due to filling the reservoir with poor quality or unsuitable fluid is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
• In sub-zero outside temperatures, use undiluted, antifreeze washer fluid of appropriate quality.

• Do not fill the windshield washer reservoir with water or engine coolant.

This may cause the fluid to freeze and damage the windshield washer system.

Engine coolant may damage the windshield washer system and the vehicle paint.
