Unlocking the vehicle

Ouvertures

Selective unlocking 2 (driver's door, boot) is set via the Drive / Vehicle menu on the touchscreen.

Selective unlocking of the openings is deactivated by default.

Total unlocking

► Slide your hand behind the handle of one of the front doors or press the tailgate opening control.

If the powered tailgate opening control is activated, this action automatically opens the tailgate.

Opening the windows

Depending on version, keeping your hand behind the handle or keeping the tailgate control pressed opens the windows to the desired position.

Selective Unlock

Driver's door

► Slide your hand behind the driver's door handle.

The driver's door and the fuel filler flap are unlocked (Petrol or Diesel).

The driver's door is unlocked (Plug-in hybrid).

► To unlock the whole vehicle, slide your hand behind the handle of one of the passenger doors with the electronic key near the passenger door, or press the tailgate opening control with the electronic key near the rear of the vehicle.

Total or selective unlocking and alarm deactivation, depending on version, are confirmed by the direction indicators flashing.

Depending on version, the exterior mirrors fold out.

Selective tailgate unlocking

► Press the tailgate opening control to unlock the boot only.

The doors remain locked.

If selective tailgate unlocking is deactivated, pressing this control also unlocks the doors.

Locking the vehicle

Single locking

Ouvertures

► Press the handle of one of the front doors (at the marked points) or the locking control on the tailgate.

The vehicle cannot be locked if one of the electronic keys is left inside.

Closing the windows and sunroof

Keeping the handle or the tailgate control pressed closes the windows and, depending on version, the sunroof to the desired position.

This operation also triggers the closing of the sunshade.

Make sure nothing and no one is preventing the windows and sunroof from closing properly.

Take particular care with children when operating the windows.

Locking, and alarm activation depending on version, is confirmed by the direction indicators flashing briefly.

Depending on version, the exterior mirrors fold in.

Build-up of dirt on the inner surface of the handle may affect detection (water, dust, mud, salt, etc.).

If cleaning the inner surface of the handle with a cloth does not restore detection, consult the CITROËN network or a qualified workshop.

A sudden supply of water (water jet, high-pressure washing, etc.) may be interpreted by the system as an intention to access the vehicle.

Super-locking

Deadlocking disables the interior door controls. It also disables the central locking button.

The horn remains active.

Never leave anyone inside the vehicle when it is super-locked.

► Press the handle of one of the front doors (at the marked points) or the locking control on the tailgate to lock the vehicle.

► Within 5 seconds, press again to super-lock the vehicle.

Tips

If one of the doors or the boot remains open, or if an electronic key of the Keyless Entry and Starting system is left inside the vehicle, central locking will not operate.

On a vehicle so equipped, the alarm nevertheless activates after 45 seconds.

If the vehicle is unlocked without any action on the doors or boot, it automatically locks again after approximately 30 seconds. On a vehicle so equipped, the alarm automatically reactivates.

Automatic folding/unfolding of the exterior mirrors is set via the Drive / Vehicle menu on the touchscreen.

For safety, never leave the vehicle without the electronic key of the Keyless Entry and Starting system, even for a short time.

Beware of the risk of vehicle theft when the key is in one of the defined zones with the vehicle unlocked.

To preserve the charge of the electronic key battery and the vehicle battery, the 'hands-free' functions go into extended standby after more than 21 days of non-use. To restore these functions, press one of the remote control buttons or start the engine with the electronic key against the back-up reader.
