Work on the alarm system

Consult a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

Locking the vehicle with the full alarm system

Activation

► Switch off the ignition and get out of the vehicle.

► Lock or super-lock the vehicle with the remote control or with the Hands-Free Access and Start System.

When the monitoring system is active, the red light on the button flashes every second and the indicators come on for approximately 2 seconds.

Perimeter monitoring is activated after a delay of 5 seconds; volumetric and anti-lift monitoring are activated after 45 seconds.

Door, boot or bonnet

If an opening is not properly closed, the vehicle is not locked, but perimeter monitoring will be activated after a delay of 45 seconds, together with volumetric and anti-lift monitoring.

Sunroof

If the sunroof remains open, the vehicle is locked and perimeter monitoring is activated, but volumetric and anti-lift monitoring are not.

Deactivation

► Press one of the unlock buttons on the remote control:

short press

long press

or

► Unlock the vehicle with the Hands-Free Access and Start System.

The monitoring system is deactivated: the button light goes out and the indicators flash for approximately 2 seconds.

If the vehicle locks automatically again (after 30 seconds without any door or the boot being opened), the monitoring system is automatically reactivated.

Locking the vehicle with perimeter monitoring only

Deactivate volumetric and anti-lift monitoring to prevent unwanted alarm activation in certain cases, such as:

- A window left partially open.

- Washing the vehicle.

- Changing a wheel.

- Towing the vehicle.

- Transporting the vehicle on a boat.

Deactivating volumetric and anti-lift monitoring

► Switch off the ignition and, within 10 seconds, press the alarm button until its red light stays on.

► Get out of the vehicle.

► Lock the vehicle immediately with the remote control or with the Hands-Free Access and Start System.

Only perimeter monitoring is activated; the red light on the button flashes every second.

For this deactivation to be taken into account, it must be carried out after each time the ignition is switched off.

Reactivating the volumetric and anti-lift sensors

► Deactivate perimeter monitoring by unlocking the vehicle with the remote control or with the Hands-Free Access and Start System.

The button indicator goes out.

► Reactivate all monitoring functions by locking the vehicle with the remote control or with the Hands-Free Access and Start System.

The red light on the button flashes every second again.

Alarm triggering

For 30 seconds, this is indicated by the siren sounding and the indicators flashing.

Depending on the country of sale, some monitoring functions remain active until the eleventh consecutive alarm activation.

When the vehicle is unlocked with the remote control or with the Hands-Free Access and Start System, the red light on the button flashing rapidly indicates that the alarm was triggered while you were away. This flashing stops when the ignition is switched on.

Remote control failure

To deactivate the monitoring functions:

► Unlock the vehicle with the key in the front left door lock.

► Open the door; the alarm sounds.

► Switch on the ignition; the alarm stops. The button light goes out.

Locking the vehicle without activating the alarm

► Lock the vehicle with the key (built into the remote control) in the front left door lock.

Automatic activation

(Depending on version)

2 minutes after the last door or the boot is closed, the system is automatically activated.

► To avoid triggering the alarm when entering the vehicle, first press the unlock button on the remote control or unlock with the Hands-Free Access and Start System.

Malfunction

When the ignition is switched on, the red light on the button staying on indicates a system fault.

Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
