Tips

Remote control

The remote control is a sensitive high-frequency system. Do not handle it in your pockets, as this may unlock the vehicle without your knowledge.

Avoid pressing the remote control buttons when out of range of the vehicle, as this may render it inoperative. A reset would then be necessary.

The remote control cannot operate while the key is in the ignition lock, even with the ignition switched off.

Theft protection

Do not modify the electronic immobiliser system, as this could cause malfunctions.

On versions with a key-operated ignition switch, remember to remove the key and turn the steering wheel to lock the steering column.

Locking the vehicle

Driving with the doors locked may make it more difficult for rescue services to access the passenger compartment in an emergency.

For safety, remove the key from the ignition lock or take the electronic key with you when leaving the vehicle, even for a short time.

Buying a used vehicle

Have the keys registered by the CITROËN network to make sure that the keys you hold are the only ones that allow the vehicle to be started.
