USB sockets

Smartphone synchronisation allows users to display applications adapted to the smartphone's CarPlay or Android Auto technology on the vehicle screen. For CarPlay, the CarPlay function must first be activated on the smartphone.

Unlock the smartphone so that communication between the smartphone and the system can take place.

Standards and principles are constantly evolving, so it is advisable to update the smartphone's operating system as well as the date and time on the smartphone and the system.

Connectivity

Press Apps to display the main page.

Press "Connectivity" to access the CarPlay or Android Auto functions.

CarPlay Smartphone Connection

Depending on country.

When the USB cable is connected, the CarPlay function deactivates the system's Bluetooth mode.

The "CarPlay" function requires a smartphone and compatible applications.

Connect the USB cable. The smartphone is in charging mode when connected by the USB cable.

Press "Phone" to display the CarPlay interface.

Or

Connect the USB cable. The smartphone is in charging mode when connected by the USB cable.

From the system, press "Apps" to display the home page.

Press "Connectivity" to access the CarPlay function.

Press "CarPlay" to display the CarPlay interface.

When the USB cable is disconnected and the ignition is switched off and back on, the system will not automatically switch to Radio Media mode; the source must be changed manually.

Connecting Android Auto smartphones

Depending on country.

Install the "Android Auto" app on the smartphone via "Google Play".

The "Android Auto" function requires a compatible smartphone and compatible apps.

Connect the USB cable. The smartphone is in charging mode when connected by the USB cable.

From the system, press "Apps" to display the home page.

Press "Connectivity" to access the Android Auto function.

Press "Android Auto" to launch the system application.

During the procedure, several screens are displayed regarding the pairing of certain features.

Accept to start and complete the connection.

While the Android Auto display is active, access to the different music sources remains available using the touch keys in the upper bar.

The system menus can be accessed at any time using the dedicated keys.

In Android Auto mode, the function to display the menu carousel with a short three-finger tap on the screen is disabled.

Depending on network quality, a waiting time is required before the apps become available.

Vehicle Apps

Press Apps to display the main page.

Press "Vehicle Apps" to display the apps home page.

Internet Browser

Press Apps to display the main page.

Press "Connectivity" to access the "Connected Apps" function.

Press "Connected Apps" to display the browser home page.

Select the country of residence.

Press "OK" to save and launch the browser.

The internet connection is made via one of the network connections provided by the vehicle or the user.

Bluetooth connection

Available services depend on the network, the SIM card and the compatibility of the Bluetooth devices used. Check in the smartphone manual and with the operator which services are available.

Bluetooth must be enabled and the smartphone must be set to "visible to all" (smartphone settings).

To complete pairing, whatever the smartphone or system procedure, confirm and validate the code displayed identically on the system and on the smartphone.

If pairing fails, it is advised to turn the smartphone's Bluetooth off, then back on.

Procedure from the smartphone

Select the system name from the list of detected devices.

On the system, accept the connection request from the smartphone.

Press the "OPTIONS" button to access the secondary page.

Press "Bluetooth connection".

Select "Search".

The list of detected smartphone(s) is displayed.

Select the name of the chosen smartphone from the list.

Depending on the type of smartphone, you may be asked to accept or refuse the transfer of the contacts and messages.

Connection sharing

The system offers to connect the smartphone with 3 profiles:

- "Phone" (hands-free kit, phone only),

- "Audio streaming" (streaming: wireless playback of audio files from the smartphone),

- "Mobile internet data".

Activating the profile; "Mobile internet data" for connected navigation is mandatory (if the vehicle is not equipped with the "Emergency and assistance call" services), after first enabling this smartphone connection sharing.

Select one or more profiles.

Press "OK" to confirm.

Wi-Fi connection

Network connection via the smartphone's Wi-Fi.

Press Apps to display the main page.

Press the "OPTIONS" button to access the secondary page.

Select "Wi-Fi network connection".

Select the "Secured" or "Unsecured" or "Saved" tab.

Select a network.

Using the virtual keyboard, enter the Wi-Fi network "Key" and the "Password".

Press "OK" to start the connection.

Wi-Fi connection and Wi-Fi hotspot sharing are mutually exclusive.

Wi-Fi hotspot sharing

Depending on equipment.

The system creates a local Wi-Fi network.

Press Apps to display the main page.

Press the "OPTIONS" button to access the secondary page.

Select "Wi-Fi hotspot sharing".

Select the "Activation" tab to turn Wi-Fi hotspot sharing on or off.

And / Or

Select the "Settings" tab to change the system network name and password.

Press "OK" to confirm.

To protect against possible intrusions by hackers and secure all systems as far as possible, it is advisable to use a security code or a complex password.

Managing connections

Press Apps to display the main page.

Press the "OPTIONS" button to access the secondary page.

Select "Manage connection".

This function displays access to connected services, the availability of connected services and allows the connection mode to be changed.
