Tips

Using the ventilation and air conditioning

► To obtain even air distribution, make sure not to obstruct the outside air intake grilles at the base of the windscreen, the nozzles, the vents and the air outlets, as well as the air extraction vent in the boot.

► Do not cover the solar sensor located on the dashboard; it is used to regulate the automatic air conditioning system.

► Run the air conditioning system for at least 5 to 10 minutes, once or twice a month, to keep it in good working order.

► If the system does not produce cold air, switch it off and consult the CITROËN Network or a qualified workshop.

When towing a heavy load up a steep incline in high temperatures, switching off the air conditioning recovers engine power and therefore improves towing capacity.

Avoid driving for too long with the ventilation off or with recirculation mode in use for extended periods. Risk of condensation build-up and deterioration of air quality!

If the cabin temperature is very high after a prolonged stop in the sun, ventilate the cabin for a few moments.

Set the air flow control to a level sufficient to ensure adequate air renewal in the cabin.

Condensation produced by the air conditioning causes normal water discharge under the vehicle when stationary.

Maintaining the ventilation and air conditioning

► Keep the cabin filter in good condition and have the filter elements replaced periodically.

A combined cabin filter is recommended. Thanks to its specific active additive, it protects occupants from polluting gases and unpleasant odours.

► To ensure the air conditioning system works correctly, have it checked in accordance with the Manufacturer's maintenance schedule.

Stop & Start

The heating and air conditioning systems only operate with the engine running.

To maintain the desired cabin temperature, temporarily deactivate the Stop & Start function.
