Remove or disconnect:

PROCEDURE.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Relieve excess pressure in the fuel system.

3. Fuel rail assembly from the cylinder head.

Disassembly

PROCEDURE.

1. Unscrew the fuel pressure regulator mounting screws.

2. Remove the pressure regulator from the fuel rail. To ease removal, rock the regulator body from side to side.

3. Remove and discard the fuel pressure regulator O-ring.

4. Remove and discard the O-rings (2 pcs.) of the fuel return line

manifold bracket..

Assembly.

PROCEDURE.

1. Lubricate the new O-rings with engine oil and install them on the

regulator.

2. Install the fuel pressure regulator..

3. Install and tighten the fuel pressure regulator mounting screws.

Installation

PROCEDURE.

1. Fuel rail assembly..

2. Negative battery cable..

Inspection.

PROCEDURE.

Turn the ignition on and, without starting the engine, check the fuel line connections for leaks.
