How Digital Radio Works
Your system has a special receiver that allows it to receive digital broadcasts in addition to analog broadcasts.
HD1 is the main program status and is available in both analog and digital broadcasts. Other multicast stations are available in digital form only and may contain new or different content.
Digital Radio Limitations
If you are outside the broadcast coverage area, the system may not be able to operate.
If you are at the edge of the reception area, the station may drop out due to weak signal strength.
Depending on the quality of the station, you may hear a slight change in sound when the station switches between analog and digital audio.
You cannot access a stored HD station if your vehicle is outside the station's reception area.
Turning Digital Radio Reception On and Off
- Access the vehicle settings on the touchscreen.
- Press SETTINGS .
- Press Radio.
- Turn HD Radio on or off.
