DANGER

Before inflating, check the tyre sidewall. If there are cracks, bulges or other similar damage, do not attempt to inflate the tyre. This may cause personal injury.

Do not stand directly beside the tyre while the compressor is running. This may cause personal injury if the tyre bursts.

Watch the tyre sidewall while inflating. If cracks, bulges or other similar damage appear, switch off the compressor and let air out through the pressure relief valve. Do not continue driving with the tyre concerned. This could cause loss of vehicle control.

The sealant contains natural rubber latex. Avoid contact with skin and clothing. If contact occurs, rinse the affected area immediately and consult a doctor without delay.

If the inflation pressure does not reach 1.8 bar within 10 minutes, the tyre has probably suffered excessive damage, making temporary repair impossible. In this case, do not continue driving on that tyre. This could cause loss of vehicle control.

  10. Remove the kit from its case.
  11. Peel off label A, which shows the maximum permitted speed of 80 km/h, from the sealant bottle and stick it on the dashboard where it is clearly visible to the driver. Make sure the label does not cover any important indicators.
  12. Take hose H with pressure relief valve I and cable connector F out of the kit.
  13. Connect hose H with pressure relief valve I to sealant bottle B.
  14. Place sealant bottle B in bottle holder D.
  15. Remove the valve cap from the damaged tyre.
  16. Screw sealant bottle hose C firmly onto the valve of the damaged tyre.
  17. Make sure compressor switch G is in position 0.
  18. Plug power connector F into the cigarette lighter socket or auxiliary power socket. See Auxiliary power sockets.
  19. Start the engine.
  20. Set compressor switch G to position 1.
  21. Inflate the tyre for a maximum of 10 minutes to a minimum inflation pressure of 1.8 bar and a maximum of 3.5 bar. Set compressor switch G to position 0 and check the tyre inflation pressure with pressure gauge E.
Note: If a tyre pressure of 1.8 bar is not reached, do not continue.

Note: While the sealant is being pumped through the tyre valve, pressure may rise up to 6 bar, but it will drop again after about 30 seconds.

Note: After switching off the compressor, you may hear air escaping from the damaged tyre. This is normal and can be ignored as long as the specified minimum tyre pressure has been reached.
  1. Disconnect power connector F from the cigarette lighter socket or auxiliary power socket.
  2. Quickly unscrew hose C from the tyre valve. Refit the valve cap.
Note: When disconnecting hose C, residual liquid sealant may leak out in drops or sprays. This is normal.
  1. Leave sealant bottle B in bottle holder D.
  2. Make sure the kit is stored securely but easily accessible in the vehicle. The kit will be needed again to check tyre pressure.
  3. Drive the vehicle immediately for about 3 km so that the sealant can seal the damaged area.
DANGER

If strong vibrations, steering instability or noises occur while driving, reduce speed and drive carefully to a place where it is possible and safe to stop the vehicle. Check the tyre and its pressure again. If the tyre pressure is below 1.3 bar or if cracks, bulges or other similar damage are visible, do not continue driving on the tyre concerned. This could cause loss of vehicle control.

  1. Stop the vehicle after driving about three km (two miles). Check and, if necessary, adjust the pressure of the damaged tyre.
  2. Connect the kit and read the tyre pressure with pressure gauge E.
  3. Adjust it to the prescribed pressure. See Tyre pressures.
  4. After inflating the tyre to the correct pressure, set compressor switch G to position 0, disconnect power plug F from the socket, unscrew hose C and close the valve cap.
  5. Leave hose C and H connected to sealant bottle B and store the kit in a safe place.
  6. Go to the nearest tyre fitter to replace the damaged tyre. Before removing the tyre from the rim, tell the tyre fitter that the tyre contains sealant. Replace sealant bottle B and hose C as soon as possible after use.
Note: Remember that this kit only provides temporary mobility. Regulations on tyre repair after using the kit may vary from country to country. Consult a tyre specialist.

DANGER

Before driving, check that the tyre has been inflated to the recommended pressure. Monitor the pressure until the repaired tyre is replaced.

Empty sealant bottles can be disposed of with normal household waste. Return any remaining sealant to an authorised dealer or dispose of it in accordance with local waste disposal regulations.
