PROCEDURE

1. Inspect the outer condition of the CV joint boot. If there is any doubt, replace the boot. Cut off the boot retaining bands and slide the boot from the joint toward the center of the shaft.

2. After thoroughly cleaning the components, use paint or a scribe to mark the position of the tripod assembly relative to the outer joint housing. Remove the housing from the tripod bearing.

3. Remove the circlip from the outer stub shaft.

4. Закрепите ролики подшипника, обмотав их скотчем, затем сбейте триподную сборку

4. Secure the bearing rollers by wrapping them with tape, then drive the tripod assembly off the shaft using a hammer and a brass drift.

5. Remove the circlip and slide the old boot off the drive shaft.
