This Part of the Chapter covers in-vehicle (in situ) repair of the V-type 6-cylinder (V6) gasoline engine of 3 L displacement, equipped with fuel injection. All procedures requiring engine removal are described in the Engine Removal and Overhaul part of this Chapter.

Most of the procedures in this Part assume that the engine remains installed in the engine compartment. Therefore, if the engine has already been removed and mounted on a workbench or engine stand, many of the steps may be omitted.
